Who are Unusual?

Established in 1983. The company has a wealth of experience from theatre, music and exhibitions and consists of a team of 60 in-house specialists with a wide range of disciplines. The relationship with many of our clients and suppliers goes back over 20 years. It is this essential mix that makes us Unusual. The company has a 'can do' attitude and has a reputation for accepting demanding challenges.

We work principally for the entertainment, sports, exhibition, film, TV and presentation industries. We install stage sets for many West Ends Shows and continue this role for large scale tours in the UK and around the world. We provide rigging services for large exhibitions and motorshows and our more eclectic output ranges from moving a meccano model of The Tyne Bridge into The Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art in Gateshead through hanging up all the aircraft in the RAF Museum in Cosford to building Antony Gormleys 85 foot high man made of rubbish in Margate. Equally, our production work ranges from a corporate occasion through The Golden Jubilee celebrations in Central London to the visit of the Sultan and the Elephant in the summer of 2006. The scope of our work is only limited by the imagination of our clients.
