Unusual Rigging are specialist suppliers to the entertainment, sports, exhibition, film, TV and presentation industries. Due to expansion, we are looking for an IT Assistant to work with the IT Manager in delivering and developing the day-to-day IT services to the business.
The IT department is responsible for the provision of computer hardware and software, network infrastructure and services, secure internet access and remote working, mobile and fixed-line telephony and general technical and user support to the entire company over two main sites and occasional satellite sites.
The role will be to assist the IT Manager in creating, deploying and supporting company IT systems and their users to enable the business to grow and become more efficient. In particular this will involve deploying and maintaining user workstations and servers, providing telephone and desk-side assistance to users of the company phone and computer systems and providing basic user training on the supported systems. On-the-job training will be provided and an appetite to learn will be expected. The role has the possibility of growing as the successful candidate does.
The successful applicant will have some experience of:
Installing, configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows
Installing and configuring programs on MS Windows
MS Windows networks including MS Windows servers
MS Office Programs
PC hardware
Mobile Telephones
Supporting and helping users to use computer systems and software
Important qualities for the role include:
