Take That may well have won the award for their song 'Patience' but this is nothing to the patience, persistence and determination shown by Andy Sweet and the Unusual Rigging team at Earls Court. Behind the scenes this year were 221 rigging points, 19 drawing revisions and a shed load of structural calculations. Modifications took place throughout the production period and the final additions to the show came in on showday itself. These late additions produced a requirement for three extra bridles for weight redistribution to be installed on showday and with the drawings, structural calculations and installation, the rig was finally signed off at 5.50pm. The total distributed load rigged by Unusual onto the roof was 92,660 kgs
On level 2 of Earls Court, the Brompton Hall, Unusual installed a further 74 points to hang 19,000 kgs of equipment for the party. All truss, motors and rigging were supplied by Unusual
