Unusual Month April 2007

March finished off with the installation of 5 acoustic panels, each measuring 20 metres by 6 at Acusticum in Pitea, Sweden. Whilst the engineering team were freezing near the Arctic, some of the rigging boys were down in the Gulf!

Following a successful spell in Doha and Dubai, Mamma Mia! moved to Copenhagen until the end of the month. Cats moves from Torquay to Wimbledon, Starlight Express from Southampton to Sunderland and then Edinburgh and Guys & Dolls moves out of the Piccadilly Theatre in London.

Around the rest of the Unusual world, a huge variety of work goes on in Duxford, The O2 Arena, The Shanghai Motor Show, Anzac Day at Hyde Park Corner, more exhibition work at The Science Museum and a busy time at Earls Court with Razorlight, Wrestling and The Book Fair. Having finished in Sweden, the stage installation team are off to Dublin to begin the installation of the flying system at The Gaiety Theatre.
