Unusual Month September 2007

One of the strengths of Unusual is the diversity of markets requiring our specialist skills. This month, there is extensive activity in entertainment based engineering installation, exhibition work at Earls Court, touring theatre rigging, corporate events and inspection work. On top of this, we hire and sell an enormous amount of lifting equipment and rigging assemblies. Installation work includes lighting bars and a chandelier at St. Johns Smith Square and flying system work at the University of Glamorgan. At Earls Court, PLASA has grown into EC2 and Unusual provide the in-house rigging service for the venue. Other shows include a corporate event for Vodafone and 100% Design. Other corporate projects included a large rig at the NEC Hall 4 for client Dobson White Partnership/EON.

On the touring theatre circuit, Mamma Mia moves from Taipei to Zurich, Cats visits Birmingham and Eastbourne, Starlight Express is in Bradford and Nottingham, and The Producers moves into Southampton on the departure of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
