A comprehensive showcase of Canon’s imaging products, from DSLR cameras to 3D retinal imaging products and digital X-Ray scanners, the Canon Expo was held in Paris in September 2010.

The venue, La Villette, was once the biggest abattoir in Paris, providing nearly all the meat the city required. After a change in refrigeration techniques, La Villette became redundant, until in 1986 Parc de la Villette was created as a music, art and science complex.

The Canon Expo covered 150 sq m and required a crew of 24, split into two shifts, working over ten days.

As well as organising the logistics of shipping all the truss and other rigging equipment to Paris, Unusual:
  • Supplied and rigged 1500m of truss
  • Supplied and rigged truss for 10 ‘sails’
  • Provided circular truss for a projection dome
  • Supplied 6 smaller ground support structures.
