Sir Cameron Mackintosh acquired the rights for Mary Poppins in 1993. It may have taken a few years to get it onto the stage, but the best is always worth waiting for. Now resident in The Prince Edward Theatre in London with rave reviews, Mary Poppins rounds off 2004 with a few shows which will stay put for a while.
