Meccano model moving solution by Unusual.

Internationally recognised American artist Chris Burden has produced a Meccano Tyne Bridge to scale. However, the scale was such that it was not possible to install it in the gallery by conventional means. At 282cm high and 153cm wide the problem was the length of 945 cm and the destination of the top gallery space. The exhibit was constructed of specially fabricated meccano parts in stainless steel and consequently was of some considerable weight.
