Unusual signs up for PLASA Focus Leeds

27th November 2012

Although a committed supporter of PLASA, particularly the Rigging Conference which runs alongside the annual PLASA exhibition, Unusual Rigging will be exhibiting at PLASA Focus Leeds for the first time next year. Project Manager Mark Priestley explains: “We have completed a lot of projects in the north of England and Scotland, such as Harrogate International Centre and Newcastle Theatre Royal, but we believe we will be able to introduce our range of services to new customers at Leeds.

“We visited the show last year and like the more intimate atmosphere, which gives real time to talk to people and understand their needs, compared to the hard sales atmosphere of the larger and more expensive shows. Unusual Rigging offers a wide range of products and services, and we will be focusing particularly on our consultancy, inspection and maintenance service.

"The need to keep abreast of H&S requirements and other legislative requirements can be onerous; Unusual can take some of the pressure off venue managers with reminders as to when a maintenance visit is due and recording of all work carried out, ensuring their equipment complies with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) at all times.”
